A night out in Perth city with her husband ended in hospital for an extremely unlucky woman.

At about 10.00pm on Friday the 11th of July 2014, a male became aggressive after being refused service and was asked to leave a bar on William Street. In response he finished the drink he was holding and smashed it onto the bar, causing glass to fly everywhere. In a freak consequence a piece of the glass struck a woman sitting nearby in the eye, causing her to feel immediate pain and discomfort. She later attended hospital where she received medical treatment for the injury to her eye.

Police have released a CCTV image of a male who they believe can assist them with their inquiries.

The male is described as:

  • Fair skinned
  • Medium build
  • Goatee style facial hair
  • 25-35 years old
  • Short brown hair
  • Wearing a dark long sleeve buttoned shirt, pants and dark coloured shoes.
